Melisa Moore - Marketing Coordinator
Melisa Moore has worked at Viega as the Marketing Coordinator for nearly a decade. After celebrating her nine year anniversary in November, she looks back on her time with Viega with gratitude and towards the future with excitement. We sat down with Melisa to hear more about her role at Viega.
What does a typical day look like for you?
As the Marketing Coordinator, I take care of all financial things for the marketing department. This involves handling purchase orders, making sure things are getting paid for on time, and gathering signatures for procurement. I also work in the Esker software daily; a global cloud platform that offers AI-powered solutions for source-to-pay and order- to-cash processes. I support the marketing team on the administrative side by uploading our external content to a Sharepoint site and enter all leads into our systems.
What keeps you here?
Everybody on our team. Every employee at Viega is so cool and fun to work with. We just have such good people, we’ve been truly fortunate over the years. Here, everybody pulls their own weight and supports each other. Even though I work remotely, I still have plenty of opportunities to connect and socialize with my colleagues, just as I would in the office. Viega does an excellent job of taking care of its remote employees, ensuring we never feel left behind.
Would you recommend working at Viega to someone who is interested?
I recently had a friend tell me they applied for a role at our McPherson location. I was so excited to share my perspective and personal experience at Viega. They ended up getting hired and have loved their experience so far.
How would you describe Viega’s culture?
They really prioritize their employees. I remember when Colorado dealt with the Marshall fire, which ended just a few blocks from my apartment. The CEO himself called me to make sure me and my family were okay. Viega is a company that places as much importance on its people as it does on its profits, if not more. We’ve just worked hard to have a good culture. Over the years, my directors have also been wonderful. The culture here is great, especially working for the marketing team. We’re doing a lot of good things.
