May 1 marked the launch of 21 new valves across Viega’s ProPress® MegaPress®
and PureFlow® systems. Director of Engineering Services Jason McKinnon says, “This
expanded valve offering broadens the industries we can work with and gives our clients the
ability to specify Viega products on any type of project.” With one of the most complete
press portfolios in the business, our ProPress, MegaPress and PureFlow systems allow
Viega to be a single source supplier for press projects within the industrial, residential, and
commercial spaces.

Learn About the Newest Additions

As your one-stop supplier for all your press needs, our ProPress, MegaPress and
PureFlow systems now include ball valves, swing check valves, supply stop valves,
strainers, and hydronic balancing valves - with a threaded valve coming soon.

As the latest addition to the Viega portfolio, each valve is designed to deliver optimal
results and total system control.

Viega Valve Portfolio

Here’s a quick rundown of the latest valve additions.

• PRESSURE: 300PSI
• SIZE: 1/2”-1”

ProPress to PureFlow® Ball Valves
Engineered for residential and commercial jobs, these valves are ideal for retrofit
applications where a quick transition is needed.
• OPERATING TEMPERATURE: 0°F to 180°F
• PRESSURE: 160PSI

• SIZE: 1/2”– 1”

PureFlow Press Ball Valve with Drain
The waste drain is engineered for freeze protection and maintenance, and the ball valve
features a lockable metal handle and brass body.
• OPERATING TEMPERATURE: 0°F to 250°F
• PRESSURE: 250PSI

• SIZE: 1/2-3/4"

Swing Check Valves

2. ProPress and MegaPress Swing Check Valves

ProPress and MegaPress Swing Check Valve
With the NSF 61 rating, these valves are perfect for potable solutions. Other features
include better backflow prevention, more optimal flow rates and contamination prevention
of the input system.
• PROPRESS: (available in 1/2"-2")
• OPERATING TEMPERATURE: 0°F to 250°F
• PRESSURE: 250PSI

• MEGAPRESS: (available in 1/2"-2")
• OPERATING TEMPERATURE: 0°F to 250°F
• PRESSURE: 250PSI

ProPress 3-Piece Ball Valve
These valves come factory-assembled with a 316 stainless steel ball, blowout-proof 316
stainless steel stem, and PTFE stem seals to increase durability. They also offer a full port
and no reduction in flow rate.
• OPERATING TEMPERATURE: 0°F to 250°F
• PRESSURE: 300PSI

• SIZE: 1/2”-2”

Supply Stop Valves

3. ProPress Supply Stop Valve (Straight)

ProPress Supply Stop Valve
Designed for easier on/off function, these valves are ideal for potable water applications,
featuring a chrome-plated brass body and a ¼-turn handle.
• OPERATING TEMPERATURE: 0°F to 250°F
• PRESSURE: 300PSI

• SIZE: 1/2”

Strainers

4. ProPress Strainer

ProPress Strainer
The Viega ProPress Strainer valve has a zero lead brass body, includes a factory-installed
stainless steel mesh 20 strainer and is approved for potable applications.
• OPERATING TEMPERATURE: 0°F to 250°F
• PRESSURE: 300PSI

• SIZE: 1/2"-2”

MegaPress and MegaPress Stainless 316 Strainer Valve
These strainers keep the system clean and fluids free of impurities, and the mesh can be
removed and cleaned during system maintenance.
• OPERATING TEMPERATURE: 0°F to 250°F, 284°F (For FKM Seals)
• PRESSURE: 300PSI

• SIZE: 1/2"-2"

Hydronic Balancing Valves

5. MegaPress Hydronic Balancing Valves Family

ProPress and MegaPress Dynamic Balancing Valves
Made from durable brass and ductile iron, the ProPress and MegaPress dynamic balancing
valves offer the traditional functionality of an automatic balancing valve with the flexibility
to adjust the flow rate as needed.
• OPERATING TEMPERATURE: 0°F to 250°F
• PRESSURE: 300PSI
• SIZE: 1/2”– 2”

• SEALING ELEMENT: EPDM

ProPress and MegaPress PIBCV with Actuator
The ProPress and MegaPress PIBCV (Pressure Independent Balancing and Control Valve)
valves are for use in hydronic heating and cooling applications in commercial and
industrial projects. Normally, you’d have to rip out these valves for adjustments, but with
ours, they can balance depending on the updated flow rate.
• OPERATING TEMPERATURE: 0°F to 250°F
• PRESSURE: 300PSI
• SIZE: 1/2”– 2”
